The copyright for Not an Able-Bodied White Man with Money has not returned from the Library of Congress yet. Nancy Scott and I have been performing a line edit on the anthology and having some good conversations during our work.
Today I (Angel Ackerman, founder of Parisian Phoenix) decided to take a break from non-fiction and attend to edits on the proof of Recovery, book three of the Fashion and Fiends series.
The series combines horror and chick lit, with elements of paranormal romance and dark urban fantasy.
To recount, the first book Manipulations uses magick and the supernatural to explore healthy relationships and domestic violence.
The second book, Courting Apparitions, is a ghost story.

So what is the overarching theme in Recovery? Recovery starts as a supernatural medical thriller, using the turn of events in the story to highlight feminist issues from abortion to female genital mutilation.
And book four, Road Trip, is a Bildungsroman about werewolves.
