Parisian Phoenix attends Lehigh Valley Book Festival

Today was finally the day of the Lehigh Valley Book Festival as Angel Ackerman, publisher at Parisian Phoenix, mentioned in her personal blog post before the event.

The schedule looked amazing and the vendor fair was slotted to include 30 tables— a lemonade stand, Feline Urban Rescue and Rehab, the League of Women Voters, nonfiction authors, children’s book authors, poets and of course, us.

The beginning of the day was brisk but sunny. The event ended with hail. The volunteers from the festival did a wonderful job hosting and even checked in with vendors to see if anyone needed anything.

The cold did dissuade some of the walking traffic, but vendors networked among themselves.

We sold enough books to recoup expenses, and distributed many of our flyers listing all of our titles. We talked with a variety of creative people.

We especially enjoyed our neighbors. And we met up with author friends.

We even bought volume seven of incorect poetry. Their use of black paper and white text makes a gorgeous book.
