Today was the final day of the Fifth Annual Easton Book Festival and I may end up writing about it for the next couple days– about our experience reading, our experience at the expo, our conversations with each other and with those on our own team.
And I will also have a few personal tales on my personal web site, angelackerman.com, about the disappointments of my new luggage cart, my missing burger, and the kid in the drive thru who started all charming and punny when I picked up my mobile order for Angel. When we left, he told me, “I hope you get married if you’re not already.”
All because I wanted the ghost pepper fries.

But back to the book festival. Great networking was had– and Thurston, Larry and I had some fun conversations. And I think it was a place we needed to be. I’m tired right now, so let me leave you with photos and hopefully some tales in the future.
Today was the Small Press Expo and self-published author fair at the Easton Public Market. Official publicity here. Participants included: Bryan Franco, Ann Michael, Midhat Rehman, Nuria Camahort, Diane Sismour, Collapse Press, Dianna Sinovic, Bethlehem Writers Group, Greater Lehigh Valley Writers Group, Carol L. Wright, Janice Rodgers, Christopher Ochs, Suzanne Mattaboni, Rosesandra Craig, Ginny Shephard, Pink Trees Press, Kat Giordano, George DeVault, Tasa Faronii, Robin Gow, Felicia Heath, Michael Daigle, Phil Giunta, Tom Lubben, Ben G. Price and Thirty West.

I also had the opportunity to see some old friends from ProJeCt of Easton and meet some new staff members.
As planned we kicked off the public reading portion with a blessing from Thurston, some storytelling and inspiration from Larry, and some fictional scenes in Easton settings from me.
