Our beloved Nancy Scott received her copies of the disability-themed anthology, Behind Our Eyes 3: A Literary Sunburst, featuring three of her works. Behind Our Eyes is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, that supports and inspires the writing of people with disabilities, develops and promotes positive public opinion regarding people with disabilities, provides meaningful programming for members through accessible technology, and publishes works generated by the group.
And in other news…
Our literary find for this week is a soon-to-be-published novel by Stacie Leininger. Untold Truths is the first in a series of mysteries featuring Talia and Dozer, residents of upstate New York who find themselves unraveling a crime that led to Talia’s mother’s death. Stacie has a gift with quirky characters and richly detailed writing. Her style is quite unique.
And finally, I heard from a college peer that she has revived her music criticism career through a personal blog and with some writing for The Sound 228, a magazine associated with a radio station.
