On Saturday, I had the pleasure of participating in Blood in the Stacks at the Barnes & Noble in the Southmont Shopping Center, Bethlehem Township, Pa. Six horror authors from Pennsylvania and New Jersey were on hand to sign their horror books:
I sold multiple copies of books one, two, and four of the Fashion and Fiends series, but none of book three.
My neighbor at the event, Tim, had a book that featured some castle on the front and even though I took a close up photo of the book so I did not forget Tim’s name I did not notice the building. Then he mentioned it was some famous hotel in Canada somewhere and I looked again– it was the Chateau Frontenac from Old Quebec City! Darrell Parry and I spent our honeymoon there!
On Sunday, Joseph Swarctz and I went to Local Author’s Day at the Flemington Summer Book Festival sponsored by Act 2 Books. We each purchased a table to promote both Echo City Capers and Parisian Phoenix Publishing.
(It’s starting to feel like every independent book store eventually starts a book festival.)

I didn’t take too many photos– and surprisingly I never got one of the table once we hung the banner and finished decorating. I guess we were too busy selling books! Once again my books sold well. One customer bought the whole set! Other popular choices that day were Charles Ticho‘s holocaust memoir, Stops Along the Way; Ralph Greco‘s craft book and memoir, Writing Dirty Words and the erotic anthology, Juicy Bits.
One customer purchased a copy of Manipulations also purchased Juicy Bits, so I did let her know that there was an erotic Fashion and Fiends story in Juicy Bits.
In person events, especially over the holiday weekends, can be very hit or miss so I’m very happy both events sold books!
