We’ve all heard the adages about success being a small part inspiration and a large part perspiration.
But have you ever stopped to consider how much procrastination factors into that equation?
If I had to rewrite the old adage— because this morning I did all the dishes, vacuumed the kitchen floor and reorganized the recycling before settling down to work— this is what I would say:
Success is
20% Inspiration
15% Procrastination
60% Perspiration
Wait, you say, why is inspiration so high?
Because, my friend, the inspiration has to be high enough and strong enough to fuel you. I think all those old clichés about working hard to achieve your goals often forget how important motivation and focus are to any goal.
