Writing Workshops

I will be hosting one final writing workshop of the 2024 year: Writers Mix-Up Mash Up at Easton Area Public Library (Main Branch, downtown Easton) on Monday, December 16 at 6 p.m. Register here.

This evening workshop is aimed at building writing community and offering space for writers to work together or independently to reach their year-end goals. People seeking critique will be paired together based on their projects. People wishing to write independently can do so or work on prompts provided in the workshop. I will be available for one-on-one consultations.

The library workshop series— which started with programs sponsored by the Arts Community of Easton this summer—has attracted a mighty core group and, with the input of library staff and patrons, we have molded the topics and formats to meet what people in the library would like to do. It’s a very organic group and one the library and I hope to formalize in 2025.

We are looking at doing writing-related programming on the second Thursday of every month, so that the regulars know when the next event will happen, and we plan to continue planning workshops to meet community needs. January’s workshop (right now scheduled for Thursday, January 9) will focus on writing goals for 2025.
