Why I don’t share my opinions on some topics

As a journalist, I learned to observe. I learned to listen and treat different people with different opinions the same and then evaluate what they told me via more sources and research.

What I thought, what I felt, nobody cares about that.

A journalist— a good journalist— seeks “truth” and serves as both a filter for information and a bright light on dark spots when someone skilled manipulates facts.

Now some writers, researchers, reporters, interviewers, hosts or other figures with a platform may perform similar duties to a journalist, and may even produce a publication or a program that functions like news, and that’s fine, especially if that person makes their biases or agenda known.

It’s no different than a trade journal promoting their field— they have to be pro-their trade.
