Upcoming Activities for Writers

I give a monthly writers workshop as a volunteer at Easton Area Public Library (main branch, downtown Easton, Pa.) through April on the second Thursday of the month.

The workshop portion will run roughly from 6 to 7:30 p.m., but I will be onsite by 5:30 p.m. in case anyone wants to socialize or pick my brain on personal projects.

If you want to come to the library and use this as independent writing time, you absolutely can do that. I recommend coming at 5:30 to stake your claim to a spot and get yourself working and “in the zone” before the workshop begins.

FEBRUARY 13: Building Good Charactersregister here.

MARCH 13Book Publishing Basics

APRIL 10: Everyday Poetry with McKenna Graf and Nancy Scott

We are currently scheduling other spring events. Echo City Capers has three school visits planned before the end of the academic year. But the exciting news, at least for me and for art director Gayle Hendricks, is that she and I are once again headed to Massachusetts.

This time we will be attending E.H. Jacobs’ author signing event at Tatnuck Bookseller and Café in Westborough, Mass., on March 8, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (18 Lyman Street for those wishing to attend with us!)

I will be attending the Greater Lehigh Valley Writers Group Write Stuff Conference on Saturday, March 15. Michele Chenowith is giving a workshop on Thursday, March 13, and Tiffany Yates Martin, the event keynote, will be giving a writing workshop on Friday. That event is in Center Valley, Pa. More information at GLVWG.org.
