This Weekend at the Promenade Shops

Echo City Capers will appear at the Barnes & Noble in the Promenade Shops on Saturday, March 29. Come meet illustrator Joseph Swarctz and author Ralph Greco Jr. The next Echo City title, Tuli Finds a Circle, debuts in May and will be available at the Phillipsburg Comic Con at Phillipsburg (N.J.) High School on Saturday, May 10. The Echo City duo has attended this student-run event for about five years now. This year’s event is the tenth annual!

Supernatural Spectacular

As a horror author and reader, the supernatural will always have a cherished spot in my heart. I recently edited William Prystauk’s upcoming horror/vampire novel, Red Agenda, based on an award-winning screenplay he wrote. In Prystauk’s latest universe, the supernatural exists and it’s not always pretty. I will warn you— there’s a high body count in this novel. Bill has been a great friend of Parisian Phoenix and has contributed to a couple of our anthology projects, Juicy Bits and Not an Able-Bodied White Man with Money.

On SaturdayApril 12, Medina Books and Coffee will host three Parisian Phoenix authors: Angel Ackerman (me), Dianna Sinovic, and Hugo Yelagin and feature our supernatural novels. I will present a brief talk, “Encountering the Supernatural in Fiction,” to accompany the book signings of upcoming releases, Scream of the Silent Sun by Sinovic and Deadlights by Yelagin. And I’ll be offering signed copies of any (or all) of my Fashion and Fiends novels in anticipation of the release of volume five, Absolution, later this year.

This will be a great event where you can meet Parisian Phoenix authors, gain access to fresh new books, and explore the role the supernatural plays in stories. Look for more information in this newsletter and also at the Medina web site: MedinaBookstore.com.
