We would like to celebrate a recent success. It dips into the world of art and photography.
Parisian Phoenix strives to connect artists of multiple mediums— from fine artists to illustrators, from writers to photographers, and Joan Zachary is one of those multi-faceted individuals who fits in our community. Joan has published some of her writing, but for the last decade or so has focused on her photography. She has explored the mechanics and techniques of the art and developed a unique sense of story, from repurposing forgotten plastic toys for her Plastiqueville series to capturing a sense of time and place with active landscapes.
Joan is a member of the Arts Community of Easton and the Lehigh Valley Photography Club. She gave herself a challenge recently— to enter more exhibitions. She recently earned a spot at the Phillips’ Mill Photographic Exhibition in New Hope, Pennsylvania with her photograph of snow.
