Parisian Phoenix earned a grant

About two weeks ago, I received word that the Lehigh Valley Community Foundation had accepted my application for The Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts Creative Entrepreneur Accelerator Program, sponsored by the Pennsylvania Council of the Arts. This is the unexpected shock type of joy, and a joy that means a lot because it means someone has faith in my business.

The grant can’t be used for everyday expenses: no overhead, no salaries, no classes for which a student receives credit, can’t pay the bills.

So, I applied for advertising money and specifically split the proposed money 50/50 between local and national opportunities. I selected Lehigh Valley-based entities with a focus on other small business owners. Because then the grant helps more than just my small business.

Look for more information on that starting with the next newsletter. I have finished all the paperwork, asked the other participants for proposals, and am now literally waiting for the check.
