Storytelling to benefit CHOP

On Saturday (August 16), I am still on deck to teach a three-hour, hands-on memoir workshop (with the same quirky flavor as this newsletter) at Blank Slate Community Center in Yardley, Pa. If sign ups don’t increase, we may postpone the event until fall.

The $40 price tag includes personalized guidance, materials and a free book of your choice from the memoir-esque titles in the Parisian Phoenix backlist.

If you are in the Lehigh Valley: Starting at 10 a.m., the Barnes and Noble in the Southmont Shopping Center in Bethlehem Township, Pa., will host a book fair where a portion of the proceeds of sales will benefit the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Find more details here.

Larry Sceurman will be on site, with other local children’s authors, and Larry will perform Bookworm’s Magical Journey for families and offer a sneak peek of his latest book, Frog and Crow’s Conversation. Order Bookworm or any of Larry’s books via Barnes and Noble here.

This marks another exciting milestone for Larry who celebrated a birthday this week and has this new children’s book set to launch before the end of the month. And he illustrated it himself with the guidance of Joseph Swarctz, the creator of the Echo City Capers series.
