When good intentions become bad decisions

I’m more than a little on edge because my fifth novel, Absolution, is with Dianna Sinovic now. Dianna is editing the latest volume of the Fashion and Fiends series and I, like all authors, I am trying to forget she has it. I don’t care who you are— when an editor has your work, you’re nervous. And in this case, as Dianna has never edited my work before, I don’t know what to expect. Really, all I need is, “Hey, Angel, I am deep in the project. Don’t slit your wrists.”

But seriously, Absolution is my foray into a darker horror. My books are normally sultry and psychological, tense but funny. This book is dark, violent, and a little heart-breaking. The affection the characters normally show for each other go very wrong in this book, and that’s on purpose.

This book examines what happens when good intentions become bad decisions (a theme not too different from E.H. Jacobs’ second novel that will debut in Summer 2026). And I also explore sexual violence against men. When I say it’s dark and violent, it’s dark and violent.
