My PSA:

Earlier this month, I had one of those weeks where I was scheduled from sun-up past sun-down every single day. It exhausted me. And we all know better, but sometimes this kind of week is unavoidable.

For me, it happened because my annual medical appointments happen in September, certain tasks regarding book production really could not be moved, and special opportunities arose for my authors that might not have required me, but I offered my support.

And I’m not complaining, because it’s a great reminder to maintain the pace I normally do. It’s a great reminder of why I pursued my own business and why I hope I can avoid returning to a traditional 9-to-5.

I’m telling you this because regardless of why you are here— maybe you’re an avid reader, maybe you’re a hardworking writer, maybe you’re a subscriber to another newsletter (say, Armchair Lehigh Valley), maybe you met me and something about my spirit spoke to you— I encourage you to take regular inventory of your life and make sure you have a healthy balance of things you need to do (like those medical appointments) and things that refresh you (even if it is just to sit on the porch and take a breath).
