Geraldine Donaher is hard at work on the sequel to Mouth Shut Head Down, so those of us who are dying to know how Allée does in college… Well, we should have an answer… soon-ish.
Meanwhile, Geraldine and I have been working to offer a streamlined way to offer a portion of the sales of her first novel to Soul Survivor Ink, a nonprofit dedicated to removing branding tattoos from human trafficking survivors.
We have decided that the commission portion of every sale of the young adult novel purchased via Bookshop.org will be passed along to this organization. The book itself presents strategies for young people to avoid coercive control in relationships, and explores how to build healthy coping mechanisms, but now we can also provide financial support to anti-trafficking organizations.
