Operation Hug at Newtown Bookshop Saturday

From Madeline Marriott about the launch of Operation Hug three weeks ago:

Since its official launch at the end of May, everything about Operation Hug has been both incredibly rewarding and just so much fun. I had the privilege of reading to a first-grade class taught by one of my lifelong best friends, and as people receive their copies, I’ve been getting photos of so many of the children in my life reading the story. It makes my day every time. I’m looking forward to spending the summer doing some outreach, hopefully landing Operation Hug on the shelves of some more bookstores and getting ready for school visits in the fall.

See Maddy this weekend at The Newtown Bookshop in Newtown, Pa., for her first book signing, June 13, 1-2:30 p.m. Order the book here if you can’t make it to the event.

And also on Saturday, we also have McKenna Graf’s final installment of the Archive of Adolescence series releasing, What’s Left? Once again, McKenna has evolved and explored even richer themes with this volume that includes two sonnet crowns. While this form might sound outdated, she masterfully twists it to her will to express the acceptance and growth she experienced as a queer student at a Catholic high school. Order McKenna’s latest book here.
