June seems to have been an eventful month for our authors and staff— both professionally and personally. Art Director Gayle Hendricks left on a cruise to Iceland last weekend, and children’s book illustrator Joseph Swarctz is touring Europe right now.
Author Madeline Marriott and illustrator Tim Schluth launched their children’s book Operation Hug with a party at Newtown (Pa.) Bookshop. In addition to significant presales sold directly through the bookstore, the softcover Operation Hug is the bestseller for Parisian Phoenix so far this year. Not bad for its first month. (The hardcover comes in at number 10.)
Last week, Brian Mahoney attended a local author’s night at The End: A Bookstore in West Allentown. Speaking of bestsellers, Brian’s book is number four on the list of top sellers for Parisian Phoenix so far in 2026. Congratulations to Brian!
And McKenna Graf held a reading at the Barnes & Noble on the Upper East Side in Manhattan. That concludes her Archive of Adolescence series.
