- We recently ordered proof copies of Sophie the York: Sophie’s New Toy, our “youngest” picture book yet— a cute little 6.5×6.5 paperback book for very young children by Somer Azer. That book will be available December 1. Find the listing on Amazon here.
- Living Florilegium releases in less than two weeks! Most of the contributing authors have received their copies. That book, and Kondo the Barbarian will make an appearance at the Easton Book Festival.
- We are so excited to have Laurel Olsen Wenson as part of the official Parisian Phoenix family. I am preparing a contract for her Poetry for Caretakers volume as we speak, but we already have some layout ideas for this emotional, honest and practical book. Laurel has chronicled her husband’s journey with cancer and used it as an opportunity to bring comfort and guidance to other caretakers.(And reading her poems about her husband, who has finished his chemo but still has a terminal diagnosis, makes me get teary-eyed as the beauty of their relationship breathes on the page. And yes— Laurel is a happily-ever-after, clean romance writer.)
