The staff at Parisian Phoenix Publishing tentatively announces their new, and quite accidental podcast, Parisian Phoenix Publishing Presents with Angel Ackerman.
Thanks to the automated integration between WordPress and Anchor, Parisian Phoenix experimentally and quite accidentally started a podcast.
Founder and Publisher Angel Ackerman and Editor Nancy Scott have been reading blogs together for years. As a blind writer, Nan enjoys the fun, quirky and insightful and sometimes blogs provide it all.
Nan has been experimenting with her use of assistive technology. Finding the right solution for her regarding how to access the internet has not found the best solution for how to read blog posts. It’s getting easier to find more and more material of interest via Alexa, or as Nan refers to her “Lady A.”
Nan likes to read Angel’s blog, and Nan also loves Spotify. This made Angel curious as to how the podcast button worked in WordPress. So, not being one to be bashful about “just putting stuff out there,” Angel hit the button and decided to let the computer automated reader share a recent press release with the world.
When that worked, Angel tried adding some of her own segments and a little clip of Carly Simon. And that, my followers, is how season zero of “Parisian Phoenix Presents” began.
Now the question remains… what do we do with the podcast? The Anchor connection highlights Angel’s personal blog and not the Parisian Phoenix web site, so does Parisian Phoenix want to offer these looks into Angel’s life?
Do we ask Angel and other staff members to expand on things we report in the blog?
Do we want to share behind-the-scenes info?
As soon as we sketch out a plan, we will progress from Season Zero to the official Season One, but until then, we’ll experiment with this soft launch of our podcast.
