Diving into the Holiday Season

If you haven’t already noticed, Parisian Phoenix is a fledgling operation still struggling to find its way and do all the work necessary to expediently get our books into readers’ hands. And we’re at the point where our staff has day jobs and a multitude of creative commitments.

That said, we should have not one, not two, but THREE books coming this holiday season.

2. Twists: Gathered Ephemera by Darrell Parry, a compilation of quirky yet sensitive poetry. Darrell is the founder of Stick Figure Poetry Quarterly. 3. Trapped by Seneca Blue, a light contemporary romance that might be your holiday “beach read.” Originally written in 2008, the story follows “Ed,” an overweight, almost forty graphic designer as she falls in love with the trapper who removes skunks from her neighborhood. The book predicted the current gig economy and can be described as environmentalist romance, which in our opinion, means it was ahead of its time but presently relevant.
