Last weekend, our publisher and founder, Angel Ackerman, recorded with David Figueroa of David’s Cerebral Palsy and Fitness Channel to talk about medical advocacy, her approach to building a medical team, and how she traded physician-referred physical therapy for work with a private fitness trainer.
As one of many items on the upcoming Parisian Phoenix Publishing schedule Angel hopes to write a disability/medical advocacy memoir about her quest to understand her body. So, while that project might not see light of day until 2025, Angel wanted to share what she’s learned in her positive interactions with medical professionals.
If you want to hear about the day of the recording, you can check out Angel’s blog post at angelackerman.com, “A reset? The NaNo Dilemma, a podcast/YouTube interview, and some disability philosophy.”

The YouTube video released today, and we hope the Parisian Phoenix followers will show David some love and share the video.
