My team— and specifically Gayle— has to chastise me constantly for sharing news and images too early. But I’m excited! And I like to spread the joy! Sure, sometimes it means cover reveals end up not exactly matching the cover on the book, but it also allows you, as readers and fellow writers, to witness our trial and error.

If anything, my recent endeavors in business and in life have taught me that I’m tired of professional personas. I want you to come with us, learn what we learn, laugh when we laugh and celebrate when we celebrate.

Gayle has commissioned a talented young fantasy artist, Nyha Havana Pedraza (@nyhavana_designs on Instagram), to augment the interior of Eva Parry’s now titled tarot journal, Shuffling and Scribbling: A Journal for Learning Divination through Tarot. The book has finished the final editorial pass, Nyha has produced some vivid illustrations for the interior, Gayle had the fun job of replicating the template pages that have received approval from the author to fill the book, and Joan Zachary has helped us finalize a cover concept as shot by Eva Parry, the author.

Some authors might be nervous to have the 13th slot on a publisher’s production schedule but you have to admit— a tarot journal is the perfect book for the spot. I’m hoping the author will have the book before her birthday, which is a Friday, but it’s not the 13th… it’s June 23.
