July 8, 2023: Shop n Stroll, a vendor fair at Wind Gap Park, supporting Slate Belt Rising. The event encourages attendees to bring their well-behaved dog. And since I hail from the Slate Belt (Bangor Slaters 1993) and our own Thurston Gill does pet first aid with Worldwide Academy Training Services at locations in the Bangor area (and my first two novels feature Portland, Upper Mount Bethel Township and the Easton environs as a setting), it felt right to attend our first Slate Belt event. If this one goes well, we may apply to do another in Portland in August.
