I worked really hard to build up my personal website, angelackerman.com, into a goofy blog, a place to highlight my foster cats and my professional portfolio.
I know I have fans that enjoy my antics, and my goal–with this recent job loss– was to publish on Parisian Phoenix on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; Angel Ackerman on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdys; and write my Substack newsletter on Sunday.
But then I realized 90% of my life was Parisian Phoenix: editing, reading, writing, advising, networking, listening. And those things belong on this forum. So, I neglect goofy Angel’s adventures.
Friday Nancy Scott and I had one such adventure, but it included a poet we are bringing into our fold. But it included some wisdom about finding people to write with, so I thought I’d share it here.
It also fits with the Thanksgiving theme I have for multiple upcoming posts.
And I also believe the story of taking a risk on the space man yielded some results that may also apply to creativity.
(And it makes a brief mention of NaNoWrimo, and my meager progress.)

If you miss my ridiculous banter, you may want to visit ParisianPhoenix.com because most of my activities now relate to the publishing company …
