Renewing Habits

Published by

Hi. Does anybody realize we’re at the end of February already? I mean, I guess I did but I also didn’t.

I have so many small odds and ends going on that it’s hard to focus on what needs to be told to the world. So bear with me as I try to renew the habit of keeping the blog, the Substack newsletter, and all the social medias up-to-date in what I hope appears cohesive strategy.

That may or may not work.

My New Desk

Earlier this week, Eva Parry and I created an office space for me out of a corner of the dining room formerly relegated to the cats and a dog bed. Eva, as usual, contributed her furniture assembly skills and I organized office supplies and filled bookshelves.

My new office is still a work in progress but it feels good, and practical, to not be surrounded by project files at the dining room table. The cats, as cats do, still believe it belongs to them.

Photos include Oz, our 13-year-old tabby/tiger kitten and approximately 5-year-old junkyard dog cat Touch of Grey, a rescue we fostered through Feline Urban Rescue and Rehab. Because Touch of Grey has a distinct temperament, she decided to adopt us. And by her good graces we are still allowed to live in this house.
