
I know some people are curious how Amazon Ads are working for Parisian Phoenix. If you don’t know, we got a grant from the Pennsylvania Creative Entrepreneurship Accelerator Program in May, which paid out in late June, which gave us $1,000 to spend on Amazon Ads. We are $600 in, and we survived an Amazon Prime Week. The chart above shows our estimated royalties from late April to the present. You can see that the advertising has made a difference— but has the gain surpassed the cost?
As of yet, no.
But what is amazing about how Amazon Ads work is the plethora of information one can get from the ads. For instance, a recent sale of the ebook of Motorhome Gypsies happened after the consumer went looking for “free Kindle reads.” They spent $10 for a memoir/how-to when they simply wanted a free book.
