This weekend Angel Ackerman will be at the Blank Slate Community Center for a special three-hour memoir workshop designed for anyone whether you have no writing experience or have been writing professionally. We’re going to look at samples of various memoirs– example the style in which you can tell your story– and discuss the reasons why we need to record the themes we see in our own lives.
Sometimes it’s family history. Sometimes it’s humor. Sometimes it’s a lesson that needs to be shared.
So join us.
Tickets are $40 and include materials, instructional time, hands-on writing exercises and a memoir or memoir-adjacent book to take home.
