As many creative people do, Parisian Phoenix publisher Angel Ackerman has a day job. At that day job, her employer allows associates to listen to music or podcasts. So, several hours a day, Angel absorbs information from other writers, publishers and their support professionals like editors and agents.
Not everyone likes podcasts, and Angel has a lot of time everyday and this is a great way to learn new things while doing what she needs to do to earn her paycheck.
“The teenager” of the house, Angel’s daughter, sprung for the family plan of Spotify and Angel has organized some of the writing related podcasts into themes based on the value of the information.
Spotify is a free service, if you don’t mind the ads, or if you already subscribe for the music, I would recommend looking for Angel’s public writing playlists.

There’s more than a few Angel Ackermans so our Angel added her middle initial and a picture with foster cat Khloe who has such beautiful eyes.

If you can find Angel’s profile, the lists cover:
- Publishing wide vs. Amazon exclusive
- Recording an audio book
- PR and social media for writers
- Launching a book
- Advertising
- Cover design
- Newsletters and mailing lists
- Copyright
And Angel is listening, organizing and adding more topics everyday.
If you use Spotify, you may want to find Angel and follow her.
